| Rasp or file the foot smooth and flat. |
| Shape and fit the shoe to the hoof. Make sure it is flat to the hoof, no gaps, this glue will not fill gaps. |
| Keep hoof an shoe as clean as possible. A cleaner can be used such as Acetone, if desired. Only make sure that it has dried completely before applying glue. |
| Apply Thoro'Grip in a circular or zig-zag pattern on the rubber pad. |
| Press and hold the shoe in place for 30 seconds, or until it is sticking enough to lower the hoof to the ground. Then lift the opposite hoof in the same motion so that the glued hoof will not move while you start on the other hoof. When you have glued the second hoof, lower it down and lift the opposite hoof for two minutes to make sure that the weight of the horse has compressed the glued surface and allowed to set. |
| Tap in the side clips or toe clip and your done. This should last for four weeks normally, but if you want to insure the job for a longer time, drive one nail in each branch of the shoe. Thoro'Grip Glue is a strong blend of "Super Glue" and is not toxic if used in the manner described above. |
